Give of your time, talent and treasure.
Financial Contributions
Your generosity supports our mission of providing a loving maternity home. You can donate in several ways:
- online
- mail to Visitation House Inc., PO Box 25, DeLand, FL 32721,
- call us at (386) 822-6014 if you would like to drop off donations.
Sponsor a Mom
The Support a Mother Fund is a committee-disbursed fund that helps with extra costs associated with gaining independence. In recent years, it has provided emergency dental care, paid for replacement program certificates for employment, and assisted with move-in costs.
Our Amazon Wish List
We have created an Amazon Wish List for baby and household items we need throughout the year. When you place an order, it will ship directly to the Visitation House home.
In-Kind Donations
Gifts and in-kind donations directly impact the lives of our clients and their infants. From maternity clothes and diapers to gift cards for groceries and gas, your gifts bring opportunity and resources to our residents. Thanks to the generous contributions of individuals, companies, and organizations, we can empower a generation of deserving women.
FACT: In the first year of life, a baby will need about 3000 diapers, costing close to $1000.
- Maternity clothing
- Diapers and wipes
- Personal hygiene products; i.e., shampoo, deodorant, and toothpaste
- Cleaning supplies; i.e., laundry detergent, and all-purpose cleaner
- Gift cards for groceries from Walmart, Winn Dixie, Aldi, and Publix
- Gas cards for residents who have vehicles for appointments and work.
Volunteer
For nearly 20 years, volunteers have been the lifeblood of the Visitation House. They share our story in the communities where they live, work, and socialize. Word of mouth is the greatest strategy to let women in need know we are here to help. Volunteers also solicit donations for our Special Events and then staff those events. Others prepare grant applications. Volunteers work directly with our residents to help them finish their education, find a job, and reinforce those critical life skills they will need when they graduate from our program. Sometimes they just listen. Volunteers are always needed behind the scenes for facility maintenance and repair, office work, inventory and so much more. If you have some time to give, we’d love to hear from you!
