Terms & Conditions

Item Bidding
Anyone wishing to bid on an auction must register by creating an online account. By bidding, you are stating you will purchase items for the bid amount, you are entering into a contract to buy the item, and you will pay at the end of the auction. Your bids are final and non-retractable.

Starting Bid
Donations will predetermine the number of items (Lots) in an auction. Visitation House Inc. will set the starting bid for each item.

Reserve Bidding
All Lots are sold with a reserve, a price below which the Lot will not be sold. Reserves may be decreased or removed at any time.

Disputes between Bidders
In case of a dispute between bidders, Visitation House Inc. at its sole discretion, may reopen the bidding pursuant to specific terms determined between the two highest bidders, until the Lot is sold. Decisions made by Visitation House Inc. regarding the sale of any Lot shall be deemed conclusive in all respects.

Internet Bidding

Buyer acknowledges that Visitation House Inc.is not responsible for the proper operation of the website and the associated software used for Internet bidding and offers no guarantee regarding its operation or performance. Furthermore, Visitation House Inc. shall not be held liable for lost profits or damages caused by the website or its inability to function. Visitation House Inc. reserves the right to deny any person permission or access to bid online

 Visitation House Inc. reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or bidders. The auction and sale is complete when Visitation House Inc. announces.

Time of the Auction
An auction starts and will close on the dates specified on the auction item’s detail page.

Sale by Lots
Visitation House Inc. reserves the right to include any Lot and the right to withdraw any Lot prior to posting for bids at the beginning of the auction. Visitation House Inc. may combine, subdivide, regroup or reorganize any Lots.

Authentication
Each Lot shall disclose what Authentication accompanies it, if any. The buyer should not bid on a Lot if he or she is uncomfortable with or the lack of an authenticator.

Payment
Payment in full must be paid by Buyer in the form of a cash or major credit card prior to the delivery of any item purchased.

Acceptance of Terms
A bid placed by any person shall be conclusive proof that he or she acquainted himself or herself with the terms and conditions of sale and agreed to be bound by such terms and conditions prior to placing any bid.

Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL VISITATION HOUSE INC. BE LIABLE TO BUYER FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LOST PROFITS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THIS AUCTION OR THE PERFORMANCE OR BREACH THEREOF. VISITATION HOUSE INC’S LIABILITY TO A BIDDER SHALL IN NO EVENT EXCEED THE TOTAL OF THE PURCHASE PRICE, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER BUYER’S CLAIM IS BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE.

RETURN POLICY

All online items are sold in “as is” condition. Weight, size, estimated value, origin, grade, quality, age, condition, rarity, and importance, are not guaranteed for any item. All sales are final unless a gross error is made in the Lot description. Any dispute must be made within seven days of receiving the item. Refund amounts will  not exceed the original cost.
